Wisa3D is a Java-application for scientific visualization of any kind of data
with the help of VisAD.
Developed for the WISA-Project
Wisa3D was originally intended for visualizing MIPAS-S data. Because of the
mass of supported file formats through VisAD Wisa3D meanwhile is suited for
extensive presentation of results in nearly all scentific fields.
Features:
- Completely implemented in Java for platform independent usage
- Supports either 2- (Java2D) or 3-dimensional (Java3D) Visualization.
- Full hardwareacceleration (DirectX, OpenGL) is supported by the use of Java3D.
- Parallel visualization and processing by workbench concept and massive multithreading.
- Completely interactive visualization by communicating dialogs.
- Runtime integration of computation modules (DataProcessors).
- Nearly unlimited scalability of the functionality.
- A wide variety of supported dataformats.
