Among my studies I'm working as a scientific assistant for the WISA-project at the institute for applied computer science at the research center of Karlsruhe since january 2000. WISA stands for the german expression for "scientific information system for atmosphere researches" and primarily deals with the storage, processing and visualization of the MIPAS-S data.

My tasks at the creation of the WISA-software are primarily placed at the sector of software development in Java. Besides some smaller projects my main task consists of developing an visualization module which is able to visualize and manipulate the data in a preferably flexible way. The following list contains all my hitherto projects:

• Advanced Queries: A graphical user interface for advanced database queries.
• IOBenchmark: Benchmark that compares java.io and java.nio.
• WISA Event Model
• WISATime
• WISA.apps.l2r: Package for reading the Mipas Level 2 Datafiles.
• Wisa3D: Standalone tool for primarily threedimensional visualization of the MIPAS-data.
